    this is encouraging. i recently lost my sister and i have been stuck in such a rut. i am trying day by day to rebuild my lost faith and reevaluate what is important. My vision of what is ture in life has been drastically skewed and i finally realized the fundamentals of what we are taught at a young age ring true. family really is the most important thing (after God) Doing what you love rather than what is expected is vital.

    I am going to try and live my life in the here and now rather than waiting for life to find me

    i feel the extact same way. My emotional sensativity has sky rocketed to maximum heights. silly comments and sarcastic jokes cut deep and make me feel like my very soul is being attacked. I am in a slightly different situation, a close family member died and i attribute much of my angst to this. However my hormone levels, and the mere fact that i am a teen also play a huge role. There really is nothing you can do to control your instinctual emotions. all i suggest is to look to God for reassurance and guidance. Telling people around you how you feel sounds pointless, but if you make a genuine effort to convey your feelings, those who really care will take the time to listen. The whole bit about others accusing you of responding "weirdly" is just unfair, certain things trigger different emotions for different people. it all depends on your life situation. considering you are at a hormonal phase and are vunerable its natural to feel taken for granted and frustrated.

    just hang in there!
